At FoodTechProcess, we continuously improve our equipment based on practical production experience, operator feedback, and real processing challenges faced by food manufacturers working with caramel, creams, fillings, syrups, and other high-viscosity products.

Our previous caramel cooking kettle design proved itself as a reliable and effective solution for many applications. The system combines a reinforced mixing drive with self-adjusting stainless steel scrapers and allowed customers to select the most suitable external heating source: 5 kW induction, electric or gas heating depending on the production environment.

However, as processing requirements evolved, it became clear that many manufacturers needed additional features, not just efficient heating and mixing. They also needed easier unloading, better ergonomics, improved product movement inside the vessel to make processing of dense and viscous products more efficient overall. To solve this, we do offer a simple mobile stand on 3 wheels for moving heavy pots and vessels around a production facility, but this solution still has it's limits.

This led to the development of our new generation tilting caramel cooking kettle.

The original version functions as a processing vessel with an attachable lid with an attached mixing system, placed onto an external heating source. While this offers flexibility such as tabletop installation and multiple external heating options, the new tilting model transforms the unit into a fully integrated standalone processing system.

The new tilting version includes:

  • Integrated electric heating
  • Sandwich bottom for uniform heat distribution
  • Reinforced industrial mixing system
  • Self-adjusting stainless steel scrapers
  • Tilting system with up to 110° discharge angle
  • The tilting system with 8 working positions also allows gravity mixing
  • Mobile stainless steel frame with caster wheels with brakes

The result is a compact, ergonomic, and technologically advanced solution for professional processing of caramel and viscous mixtures.

More efficient mixing using tilting technology

One of the most important improvements is the addition of the tilting system.

Unlike traditional vertical cooking kettles, the tilted working position improves internal product circulation during mixing. Gravity assists the movement of the product mass, which can improve mixing efficiency by up to 50% depending on the product viscosity and process conditions.

This is particularly important when processing dense products such as:

  • caramel
  • praline fillings
  • creams
  • nut pastes
  • viscous syrups
  • fruit fillings
  • confectionery masses

The angled working position helps continuously return the product into the active mixing zone, reducing stagnant areas and improving heat distribution throughout the batch.

Improved heat transfer

The new model uses integrated electric heating combined with a sandwich-bottom vessel construction, designed for more uniform thermal distribution. Together with the reinforced, self adjusting stainless steel scraper system, this significantly reduces the risk of localized overheating and product burning on the heated surface.

The self-adjusting stainless steel scrapers continuously remove product buildup from the vessel bottom during operation, helping maintain:

  • uniform product consistency
  • more efficient heat transfer
  • easier cleaning after production

The vessel additionally features an air insulated outer casing, which improves thermal efficiency and reduces unnecessary heat losses during processing.

Easier and more complete product discharge

Another major advantage of the new design is the fully integrated tilting discharge system. The vessel can be tilted up to 110°, allowing almost complete emptying of thick and viscous products without as much difficult handling.

A specially shaped pouring lip helps maintain controlled laminar product flow during discharge, which improves operator comfort and reduces product losses. This significantly simplifies unloading and cleaning operations compared to conventional fixed cooking kettles.

Designed for real production conditions

The new caramel cooking kettle was designed for demanding industrial and semi-industrial production environments, while its compact dimensions make it equally suitable for small and medium-scale family businesses in the food industry. The reinforced geared motor and mixing system are intended for continuous operation under high mechanical load.

The removable reinforced lid includes:

  • integrated mixing system
  • 1/3 opening section
  • protective safety grid or optional lid opening sensor
  • quick-release mounting system with tightening screws for easy cleaning

An optional lid-opening safety sensor can be installed instead of the grid, to stop the mixer automatically when the lid is opened.

The entire system is mounted on a rigid stainless steel frame with caster wheels with brakes, allowing easy movement inside the production area when needed.

Better functionality at a more competitive price

One of the most important achievements during development was optimizing the construction and manufacturing process in a way that allowed us not only to improve the machine technically, but also to reduce production costs.

As a result, the new tilting caramel cooking kettle offers:

  • more integrated functionality
  • improved processing efficiency
  • easier handling
  • better ergonomics
  • more advanced thermal processing
  • simpler unloading and cleaning

while remaining highly competitive in terms of price.

Additional Options

Both versions of the cooking kettles for thick masses can be equipped with additional options depending on production requirements, including:

  • frequency converter for adjusting the mixing speed
  • discharge valve: butterfly valve / ball valve
  • Possibility of a more powerful heating configuration
