The roaster is a compact batch-processing machine designed for roasting, drying, coating, glazing, and seasoning a wide range of food products. It is particularly well suited for processing seeds, nuts, dried fruit, cereals, spices, and other loose food products using controlled thermal treatment combined with continuous mixing.

The product is processed inside a heated stainless steel bowl equipped with an integrated stirring system. During operation, the agitator continuously turns the product and lifts it from the heated surface, promoting uniform heat distribution throughout the entire batch. A bottom mixer system continuously moves products from the bowl surface, helping reduce the risk of localized overheating and scorching.

Unlike conventional hot-air roasting systems, the roasting pan uses direct bottom-contact heating. This method helps preserve volatile aromatic compounds that can otherwise be carried away by forced airflow, making it particularly well suited for products for which it is important to maintain the natural aroma.

The bowl can be operated at temperatures ranging from gentle drying conditions up to intensive roasting temperatures of 200 °C. At the end of the process, the tilting mechanism allows rapid unloading of the finished product, helping minimize additional heat exposure caused by residual heat within the vessel.

In addition to roasting and drying, the machine can be used for coating, glazing, salting, seasoning, and similar processing operations requiring continuous product movement.

Basic version

The basic version includes a stainless steel roasting bowl manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel, equipped with integrated bottom electric heating, a multi-stage heating controller, an industrial stirring system, a high-temperature thermometer, and a manual tilting mechanism with multiple locking positions.

The machine is mounted on a self-supporting stainless steel frame and supplied with a stainless steel lid. Depending on customer requirements, the unit can be supplied either on caster wheels with brakes for mobility or with stationary, height adjustable support legs.

Operating principle

The product is loaded into the heated processing bowl through the top opening. During operation, electric heating transfers thermal energy through the bottom surface of the vessel while the agitator continuously mixes the product.

The mixer removes bulk material from the heated surface and returns it into the product mass, improving roasting uniformity and heat transfer efficiency. Depending on the product and desired result, the machine can be operated in gentle drying mode or at higher roasting temperatures.

After the processing cycle is complete, the bowl is tilted and the finished product is discharged directly from the vessel for cooling, packaging, or further processing.
