Applications of vacuum dryers
Vacuum dryers are designed for intensive and gentle removal of excess moisture from products under vacuum conditions. Excess moisture content (more than 18-20%) in products leads to difficulties during long-term storage, as well as separation and fermentation.
Increased productivity
Under natural conditions, the process of moisture removal requires a significant amount of time. Moisture removal under vacuum occurs without increasing the temperature or using low-temperature heating, which preserves the quality of the product. The dryer is designed taking into account the characteristics of heat-sensitive products and allows for effective moisture removal without thermal damage.
Dryer efficiency
Efficient moisture removal is achieved due to the vacuum, but also due to the maximized heat exchange area, including the inner walls of the working chamber and the surface of the disk agitator. This significantly reduces energy costs compared to conventional vacuum dryers.
Design
The vacuum dryers consist of a vacuum chamber made out of stainless steel AISI304 (or AISI316 on request), equipped with a disk stirrer with scrapers, a vacuum system, a condensate drain system and a control system based on industrial controllers. The equipment can be equipped with a refractometer for humidity control, a recirculation circuit and a filtration system with interchangeable stainless steel filters.
