Condensation dryer for berries, fruits, vegetables
The dryer consists of a compact cabinet made out of stainless steel with thermal insulation made out of polyurethane foam. The installation operates on the basis of a heat pump. The temperature control is electronic, which adjusts the temperature depending on the specific product. The dryer is not recommended for drying meat.
Condensate flows out at the bottom; it is necessary to connect the condensate drain to a sewer or to a container for collecting condensate water.
Operating principle of the dryer
Air drying by the condensation of food products (fruit, tea, mushrooms, etc.) is the most energy efficient way to remove water from various materials, including food. It works on the principle of a heat pump, since when cooling in the evaporator we cause the temperature to drop below the dew point of the air, due to which the surface of the evaporator becomes moistened with moisture from the air. The heat taken from the air is immediately returned to the same air, and another 20-30% is added due to the electricity required to drive the compressor. Thus, this heat is more than enough to maintain the required temperature in the drying cabinet, which is well insulated and thus ensures safe and high-quality drying of food. After processing, air is passed through the grates containing the material to be dried. The air is humidified and returned to the drying unit for further processing. The process proceeds continuously until the required final moisture content of the product is reached.
The so-called “cold drying†at low temperatures allows you to preserve most of the characteristics of fresh fruits, berries, and vegetables, such as taste, aroma and color.
Basic version
This is a compact, sealed cabinet made out of food-grade stainless steel with durable thermal insulation (70 mm thick polyurethane foam), equipped with a compact cooling and heating device, which is located in the upper part of the cabinet. Power consumption 400/500 W/h. The control is electronic, with the ability to set the drying temperature, which allows you to adapt to the conditions required for drying various products. The water is drained through a plastic fitting into the sewer or into a cistern.
